The HDC Group is a well-established business group in Nepal with a legacy of 40 years in the trading, service, and manufacturing industries. In 1996, recognizing the high demand for Gum Rosin and Turpentine in the international market and the absence of private-sector involvement in their production, the group established the Rosin and turpentine unit in Jhapa District of eastern Nepal. Since then, it has ventured into several Gum Rosin and Turpentine industries across Nepal, becoming the largest exporter of Gum Rosin and Turpentine from the country. The HDC Group’s production of these industrial raw materials adheres to environmental guidelines issued by Nepal’s Ministry of Forest, ensuring sustainable practices while producing high-quality products.

The company has diversified its business to include manufacturing, service, and trading. It has incorporated three cement industries in Dang, Dhankuta, and Jhapa, each with its own limestone deposit that can be utilized for more than 300 years. The group also established the Balaji Kattha Udhyog Pvt. Ltd., the largest exporter of catechu in the region, in Nepalgunj. In addition, the group is involved in the hotel business, owning the Siddhartha Hotel Grand City in Birtamode, a reputed address for guests in the region.
