Rosin & Turpentine

Rosin

HDC groups play a crucial role in the production and supply of rosin and turpentine in Nepal. With their strategic locations and efficient manufacturing practices, they contribute significantly to the economy and cater to both domestic and international markets.

At our facility, we gather crude resin from various areas renowned for their resin-producing trees. We work closely with communities in the Doti, Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Achham, Kailali, districts of the Far-Western province as well as Surkhet, East Rukum, West Rukum, Salyan, Rolpa of the Karnali Province and Nuwakot district of the Bagmati Province. Through sustainable and responsible harvesting practices, we ensure the long-term health and growth of the trees we rely on for raw materials.

Once the crude resin is collected, we employ advanced processing techniques to transform it into high-quality rosin and turpentine products. Rosin, a solid form of resin and a very useful industrial raw material, is widely used in industries such as manufacturing of adhesive, coatings, printing inks, printing and photocopying papers, paper sizing agents, paints, varnishes, soaps and detergents, driers, soda, soldering fluxes, sealing wax, cosmetics, lubricating greases, pitch of casks, synthetic rubber, as bonding agent in preparing steel casting, leather dressings, shoe polish, shoemaker’s wax, filler for bending pipe and copper tubing, harden candles, insulating materials for the electronics industry, bows of violin and other stringed instruments, on floors of studios and stages to prevent slipping and chewing gum and many more. . Turpentine, a liquid derived from the resin, has numerous applications in industries including paint, varnish, and medicine.

As a company, we take great pride in upholding the highest standards of quality and environmental responsibility. Our dedicated team ensures that our products are consistently of superior quality, meeting the specific requirements of our customers.
